The Prince William County Department of Economic Development and Tourism (PWCDEDT) celebrated B&S Site Development’s (B&S) expanded corporate headquarters in Innovation Park, Manassas. B&S is a homegrown company that has expanded to more than 1,100 employees operating throughout the mid-Atlantic and Midwest with offices in Georgia, Ohio, and across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The new expansion represents $493,000 in capital investment supporting more than 300 high-quality jobs in the county and adds approximately 14,640 square feet of commercial office upfit space.

“We are proud to continue growing in the community where our company began,” said Chris Lannin, President, B&S. “Over the past 25 years, we’ve grown from a local Prince William County company into a business recognized nationally four times on the Inc. 5000 list. This is the start of our next chapter.”

Prince William County supported the project through its Targeted Industry Program, which provides qualifying businesses with expedited review processes designed to support strategic economic investment and business expansion. The location at 11220 Assett Loop is less than a half a mile from the Route 234 corridor near the heart of the broader Nexus234 Innovation District, which has almost 1000 acres in various stages of development.

"Companies like B&S bring an established corporate presence, industry expertise, and the kind of operational culture that helps major projects move forward," said Supervisor Tom Gordy, Brentsville District. "That matters as we continue to design Northern Virginia’s first Innovation District with that kind of ecosystem-first infrastructure and long-term economic growth in mind."

Businesses cannot invest, build, or create jobs if land is not ready. Before a company can open a new advanced manufacturing facility, industrial property, or a data center campus, B&S supervises and performs the clearing of the land, the excavation, blasting and grading of the land, managing stormwater, extending utilities, building access roads, and making sure the property can physically support the project.

The event took place in the company’s brand new 6,000 square foot training center and brought together county leadership, business partners, and community stakeholders, including partner Mike Garcia Construction, to recognize the company’s milestone and continued investment in Prince William County.
