Our 2025 Year In Review: Piece By Piece

When working on a puzzle, one of the best moments is the dawning realization that the bigger picture is finally starting to emerge. That's what 2025 felt like for the Prince William County Department of Economic Development & Tourism. 

That idea became the inspiration behind the visual concept for our 2025 Year In Review, which captures the core moments of our work. Because no single project tells the whole story; and honestly, 2025 had a lot of moving pieces that will drive change in our community for years to come, including the following: 

• Dig into the data with our Win & Trends section covering capital investment, jobs, and our project successes. As well as key tourism metrics like hotel occupancy and overnight trips.

• Check out the comprehensive Innovation District timeline from 1991 to now!
  • The district was founded in June 2025, and the Nexus234 Innovation District brand and name were announced last month.
    
    
• Celebrate the inaugural winners of the Make Your Mark Awards, and mark your calendar for November 12, 2026 at the National Museum of the Marine Corps!
