Several Prince William County businesses were recognized at the virtual Prince William Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, held annually to honor the best of local businesses and recognize outstanding contributions to the community.

Prince William Board of County Supervisors Chair Ann B. Wheeler surprised local businesses MurLarkey Distilled Spirits, ZESTRON, and Abel Industries with the Prince William County 2021 Business Partnership Award for working with the county’s Emergency Operations Center to provide much-needed hand sanitizer during the emergence of COVID-19 in the spring of 2020.

The county’s ELEVATE program, a collaborative initiative between Prince William County, the City of Manassas, and City of Manassas Park, was recognized as the Innovative Partnership of the Year by the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. Geared toward connecting job seekers and employers, the program was recognized for developing a partnership that allowed three jurisdictions to better identify and reach local populations who needed career advancement training and access to the talent pipeline now and in the future.
