In 2018 US Foods doubled the size of its distribution facility in Prince William County from 280,000 square feet to 466,000 square feet. This $42 million expansion added 100 new employees.

US Foods chose to expand in Prince William County after a competitive site search. The County’s strategic mid-Atlantic location and extensive transportation infrastructure were key factors in US Foods’ decision to expand in Prince William County.

The Department assisted US Foods by matching a $350,000 Commonwealth Opportunity Fund grant from the State of Virginia and by providing expedited permitting.
